AREA OF APPLICATION
This roofing system is suitable for pitched roofs of residential homes, villas, commercial buildings, resort structures, and administrative facilities with a roof slope of 12° or greater. The solution is ideal for projects without thermal insulation where long-term waterproofing, enhanced protection, and an aesthetically appealing finish are required.
SOLUTION DESCRIPTION
This TEGOLA roofing solution provides a durable and watertight roofing system designed specifically for pitched roofs without the requirement of thermal insulation. Each component is selected to ensure structural rigidity, optimal waterproofing, and a long service life, even in regions exposed to heavy rainfall, wind uplift, and extreme temperatures.
The base surface must be solid, rigid, and flat, typically constructed using Wooden Deck Boards or Cement Fibre Boards. These materials ensure dimensional stability and provide a secure foundation for the subsequent waterproofing and roofing layers.
A uniform coat of TEGOLA Primer (S)-25 is applied to enhance adhesion and prepare the substrate. This step seals dust particles and improves the bonding strength between the deck and the underlay layer.
The next layer consists of a self-adhesive bitumen membrane or vapor barrier, which serves as a waterproofing underlayment beneath the roofing shingles. Depending on project needs, this layer may be optional or mandatory based on climatic exposure.
The final layer consists of Asphalt-based Roofing Shingles by TEGOLA, which act as the main protective and decorative roofing finish. Available in multiple colors, textures, and patterns, TEGOLA shingles offer long-term durability, UV resistance, and visual appeal. The shingles are securely installed using roofing nails or screws, and the fastening quantity depends on the slope of the roof and the specific shingle type.
